An Exceptionally Wonderful Man

Butch Diavolo has been a good friend of mine for many years now.

Butch is also a squatter on my homesim and is appointed as the Royal Gardener of the sim. (Although truthfully he hasn't been building or beautifying much (except his own plot) the last year, but he has been busy having a love life and taking care of himself.)

I know Butch as a kind, intelligent, warm hearted, level headed, everso faithful, amusing and highly sarcastic man, who always tries to help out if he is able. The only thing I have found lacking is his lovelife and his - sometimes - worrying choices where men and partners are concerned.

Yesterday I decided to adopt him as a son, and he agreed (Let's see how long that will last...) to defer to me before entering into any future partnerships. Any prospective partner will first be vetted by me - and my swarms of spies all over the Internet and in SecondLife - before being partnered. Linden Lab has been notified of this requirement and have agreed to assist in any way possible.

Fun thing though, through other familial ties of both my sons Butch and Pook, Butch will now be both Pook's brother and his grandmother. SecondLife families are a seriously messed up thing. However, as Pook's "pappa" I shall now be humming this tune to myself:

"For your brother is your grandma,
but your daddy don't know.
Woe, is me, shame and scandal in the family
Woe, is me, shame and scandal in the family"

(For clues to this musical reference please listen to Shawn Elliott in "Shame and Scandal in the Family")

Grand Opening of The Northmead Gallery

The Bock McMillan Art Foundation
(a part of the BMcM Corporation)
and the artists
WayneNZ
JJ Goodman
and
Tomais Ashdene

Welcome you all to the opening of the new erotic gallery at Southern Charm today

From the invitation on Facebook:

"An intrepid trio of SecondLife photographers invites you to an opening at their very private space, the Northmead Gallery at Southern Charm for a showing of gay male erotic art. (or as Kahvy puts it, "dicks, dicks, dicks!") (or as Bock puts it, "a celebration of the male form) (or as JJ puts it, "our brush of love!") (or as Wayne calls it, "Bowchickie wow wow!) (or as RickJ said, "Meow.")

The party starts at 1:00 PM SLT, and DJ Kahvy will be pumping (get it? Pumping!) out some hot dance tunes.

This is just for the fun of it since we had a great time doing al these photos, and we've a cool space to show our art in the rundown city block that makes up the Gallery. Feel free to wander and enjoy some of special places we've built into the venue.

Hope to see you there!

Disclaimer: male/male nudity and sexual acts are portrayed in the photos. No small animals were harmed in the making of these photographs. Enter at your own risk."

Women and Clothing

When will men, politicians and legislators (particularly the French and the Islamophobes) learn that it is a woman's fundamental right to decide over her clothing and over her own body?

If a woman wishes to wear a burkini to the beach, it is her prerogative to do so. Just as much as she has the right to wear a bikini or even to throw away her bikini-top.

These rights do not diminish if she happens to be a Muslim and chooses to cover her body at the beach.

Stay the hell away from woman's clothing and their bodies!

Should the men, legislators and politicians (particularly the French, right-wing, Christian and Islamophobic ones) not be able to contain themselves completely, perhaps they should legislate that Philippe Pradal, le maire de Nice, should be obliged to wear a burkini when he visits a beach. I am certain that he would be much more of an eyesore in regular swimwear.

Pose Fair 2016

Yesterday my lover man and I visited Pose Fair 2016. As always in SecondLife 95% of the products were aimed at the ladies, 3% were unisex and 2% for us men. There were droves of couples poses for straight couples, not many man-man poses and definitely no gay poses.

I tried out a few of the poses and made my Tomais jump on a few too.

Want to take a look for yourself? Here's the teleport tp Pose Fair 2016!

Wild Things Tea Party

GAWD, it really takes it's toll on a man to be gay!

We must always dress appropriately - and preferably look stunning - for every occasion. I guess it must be a burden placed on us to even out the privilege we have of being able to love the pinnacle of natures creations, the wonderful, delicious and adorable creatures that are the human males.

I got this invitation to the opening of a new exhibition at Holtwaye Gallery.
To help celebrate the opening of Wayne NZ's new exhibit "Art in a Box," we’re hosting a “Wild Things Tea Party” on Saturday October 4, 2014, at 2 PM.

This exhibit illustrates Wayne’s earthy and fantasy style, with references to woodland fantasy creatures, angels, faeries, hillside dwellings, the great outdoors, and of course, tea & cupcakes!
Calling your inner playful and wild-things side! Come in your woodsy outfits, your wild hair, your capes, your loincloths, your creative tea party outfits, or even just your pointy ears - and join our “wild things tea party.” Not sure what to wear? Check out the amazing Wild Things cards below…

Yours truly will be there - of course - with hubby and son. Tomais found me a great outfit, now I only need to find amazing accessories...

Your gilded cage awaits you for a safe transport to Holtwaye Gallery (SLurl).

Men Only vs. Women Only

At the moment I am thinking of something there has been some brouhaha around on the SecondLife pages on Facebook, the fact that certain clubs only allow gay men. To me this issue is really not important one way or the other, but I know it is to some of my gay friends.

The discussion made me think about the many times in first life, and in SecondLife too, where I have been told that this or that place is not open to men this evening - or ever - because there is a lesbian thing going on or it is a lesbian place and no men are ever allowed.

I have always accepted that and never made a fuss about it or felt denigrated or shunned.
Why is it that places, clubs, sims, whatever that only allow gay men are seen as doing something terribly wrong, while places, clubs, sims, whatever that only allow lesbians are seen as something completely natural, tolerated and highly acceptable? Sort of, "We must understand that the girls wish to be alone sometimes, otherwise they feel overpowered by all the gay loudmouths!"

I believe we should accept and respect that a specific group, in this case gay men, sometimes wish to be among their own, with no other gender or straight people (allies or not) present. Sometimes most of us don't want to mix, it's that simple.

On other occasions - and that is most of them - we as gay men love to mix with anyone who respects us, lesbians and straight allies (women and men), hell anyone who is not overtly anti-gay .

Guys Talking About Guys

Just before I was going to drop out to first life yesterday my beautiful brother in-law Dej logged in. I joined him for a short chat about life and men while we watched the sunset on Southern Charm.

Two men who love men talking about other men, who may or may not love men, is sometimes a bit confusing but fabulously profound and wickedly insightful, as it has the added value of us being men ourselves.

During our talk Dej told me he had read a comment on my blog that he didn't like and that he thought the guy who had written it could never have lost anyone he loved. When I told him that I did not remember the comment he was referring to, but that I believed that the man had told me that he had actually lost a love in his life. Dej snorted disparagingly, "Men, they lie more than they shower!"

Dej's comment made me laugh out loud, both because it surprised me and because it carried an element of truth. We have all met them, these men who rather than tell us the unadorned truth by some inner need are driven to embellish their stories in a completely unnecessary way.

One of these men is my own father, whom I love dearly and who never tell lies to people close to him because he knows we will spot it immediately. I cannot tell you how many times I have heard him go into a song and dance routine with a complete stranger or a salesperson at the door or in a shop somewhere rather than simply saying "No!" to them. When I have asked him about this strange and rather uncharacteristic habit of his - several times - he just shrugs and says "I wanted to give them an explanation, just to be polite or kind."

Handsome Men in SecondLife

There are too many images of women on this blog right now for a gay male blogger, so I thought I would give you some male beauty too.

Let me first tell you that I am purposely leaving out my Ars from this short list, because I cannot look at him objectively. Secondly, I am not even going to pretend I remember all the handsome human faces I have seen in SecondLife, so these are just the ones that pop-up in my mind at this moment. I may continue the list at a later time though.

Cats are not included in this list for the obvious reason that there is only one cat that could make the list... ´nuff said...

So here are the three avatars I would like to introduce you to today (in no particular order).

Andrey Messmer, my beautiful Brazilian brother in-law (BIL). His looks change constantly, but he always remains stunning.

Andrey - courtesy of himself

Fabrice Snook, is a stylish French avatar in SecondLife. I have never talked with Fabrice that I can remember and the only time I saw him personally he was a participant at a drag contest in one of the craziest outfits I have ever seen. This picture is from Fabrice´s profile.

Loch Wolfhunter, is a sexy Brit whom I first saw at one of my BIL´s sets. Andrey tells me he has the sexiest British accent he has ever heard and that he is a great builder. This picture is from his SecondLife profile.

Isn't it a bit strange that they are all gay?
